Ralph E. "Steve" Stevenson has over 22 years of executive experience in automotive management. He also previously served as the Legislative and Operations Officer for the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, and has been recognized as an expert in auto dealer compliance by several United States District Courts, North Carolina Courts, The North Carolina Department of Justice, and the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.
He provides legal counsel to several auto industry trade groups, specifically concerning motor vehicle titles, liens, collections, and securitization compliance, and has successfully litigated many complex auto related complaints, up to the appellate level including the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Steve has been published concerning auto related transactions in legal and professional publications on topics including: execution of titles, limitations of conditional delivery, floor planning, wrongful repossession, and damage disclosure requirements.
